Very slim book. Only focuses on going fast on the flats with old style long skinny skis. NO tips on going downhill on your XC skis. First time out I met a xc ski instructor and mentioned the techniques. She basically said the techniques are very outdated and are based on very old technology skis. So if you have some twenty year old skis and never go down a hill, this is a useful book. I was a bit disappointed, but I do use about 2 very useful sentences from the book.Product details

Bob is an excellent teacher and coach. He has a very down to earth approach with his students and friends. He has been able to translate his training method into a very easy to follow Hand Book.
If you can't afford a lesson or two, then this itty bitty book can help getting started on classic xc skis. Anything more than that, well, not so much. There are many free resources on YouTube that can get a beginner going as well as provide more advanced instruction.
